Asian works of art
Chosen for the rooms they will live in.
Fourteen pieces: bronzes, jade, scholar's objects, paintings and calligraphy. Each is photographed as it is and described by what we can see, nothing more. Every price is on the page, from $340 to $780. Write to us and we will tell you honestly whether a piece will suit the room.

Six to start with
Plainly
Three things to know before you write
Described by what we can see
We tell you the material, the form, the marks and the condition as we find them. We do not assign a dynasty, a maker or a provenance to anything on this site, and we say so on every page.
Decorative, not certified
Every piece is offered as a decorative work of art in a traditional style. If you want an object for its age, we are not the right dealer. If you want one for the room, we may well be.
The price is the price
Each piece is listed with its price, and what you see is what you pay. Shipping is quoted at cost once we know where it is going. There is no bidding, no buyer's premium and no theater.
How buying works
Three steps, all by email
Write to us
Send the reference number, or just a photograph of the room. We reply the same working day with any further pictures you want, a shipping quote, and a straight answer on whether it will suit.
Check it against the room
Send a photograph of the wall, the console or the shelf with one measurement, and we will mock the piece up to scale on it. Buyers who do this almost never return anything.
Invoice, then it ships
We invoice by email, payable by card or bank transfer. The piece is packed by us and shipped insured within three working days, signature on delivery. You have fourteen days after it arrives to change your mind.
Designers, stagers, hospitality
About half of what we sell goes through the trade.
Net pricing on three or more pieces, seven-day holds, clean image files, mounts and frames to your specification and delivery straight to site. And descriptions your client's appraiser will not have to correct.
