Shipping & Returns
Packing is included in every price. Shipping and insurance are quoted at cost once we know where a work is going.
Packing
Framed works travel with the glass taped, corner-protected and boxed in a rigid double-wall carton or, for larger works, a wooden crate. Mounted panels travel flat, faced with glassine, in a rigid carton. The screen ships folded in a single crate. Everything is packed by us, and we keep photographs of each work in its packing.
Times
| Within the continental United States | Ships within three working days of payment; three to seven working days in transit. |
|---|---|
| Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union | Seven to fifteen working days, including customs clearance. |
| Elsewhere | Quoted per shipment. |
Every shipment is insured for the full purchase price from our door to yours, and every shipment requires a signature. We will not leave a painting on a porch. If you need delivery on a particular day, or to an installer or a receiver, say so when you order.
Duties and taxes
Sales tax is charged where we are required to collect it and is shown on the invoice. On shipments outside the United States, import duty, VAT and clearance fees are levied by the destination country and are the buyer's responsibility. We declare the true purchase price on every customs form and will not do otherwise.
Returns
Any work bought without being seen in person may be returned for a full refund of the purchase price, for any reason, provided that:
- you tell us in writing within fourteen days of delivery;
- the work comes back in its original packing, in the condition it left us; and
- it is shipped within seven days of your telling us, insured for the purchase price.
Return shipping is at the buyer's cost unless the work was not as described, in which case we arrange and pay for collection. Refunds go back by the method of payment within five working days of the work arriving with us. Works reframed or remounted to a buyer's specification cannot be returned unless faulty.
Damage in transit
Open the packing on the day the work arrives and check it. If anything is damaged, keep all the packing, photograph the damage and the box, and write to us within forty-eight hours. We deal with the insurer; you deal only with us. You will be offered a repair, a replacement where one exists, or a full refund, as you prefer.
