A small online gallery for Asian works of art.
Easton Gallery sells Asian works of art to people furnishing homes, and to the designers who help them. We are online only. There is no showroom to visit, no auction, and no premium: what we quote is what you pay.
How we choose
We buy for the room, not for the catalogue. A piece has to do three things: hold up from across the room, reward a closer look, and be honest about what it is. Most of what we are offered fails the third test, and we pass on it.
What is left is a short list. We would rather offer fourteen pieces we can describe in full than a hundred we cannot.
What is available now
At present the gallery holds fourteen pieces: four bronzes, among them three censers and a gilt-bronze figure; two in jade and hardstone; three scholar's objects, including a lacquered qin and a set of four seals; and five paintings and calligraphies in frames and scrolls.
Every piece is offered as a decorative work of art. We describe each by what we can see and make no representation as to its age, origin or maker. Marks, seals and labels, several of which appear on these pieces, are described as they appear and are not offered as evidence of any of those things. The details are set out in What You Are Buying.
Every price is on the page, from $340 to $780. Shipping is quoted at cost once we know where a piece is going.
How to buy
Write to info@easton-gallery.com with the reference number. We reply the same working day with the measurements, any further photographs you want, a note on condition, and a shipping quote. If you would like to see a piece in the room, send a photograph of the wall or the console with one measurement, and we will mock it up to scale.
When you are ready we send an invoice by email, payable by card or bank transfer. The piece is packed by us and ships insured within three working days, and you have fourteen days after delivery to change your mind for any reason.

What we will not do
Give a piece a date it does not have. Put a maker's name on it. Call a mark a reign, or a label a provenance. Call anything rare, museum-quality or an investment. Under-declare a value for customs. Sell you a piece that we think will not suit the room.
