Two Green Bangles in a Lacquer Box

Two bangles of bright green stone in a red lacquered box lined with gold dragon brocade. The box has a paper label inside the lid.
The bangles are a strong apple green, round in section, and sit in cut-outs in the brocade. The box is red lacquer with a brass clasp, and the lid is lined with a brocade of dragons and flowers with a paper label in the middle.
It is a presentation piece: the box is as much the object as the bangles. Leave it open on a dressing table or a cabinet shelf.
The label reads Qianqing gong cang, 'collection of the Qianqing Palace'. We describe it as a label; labels of this kind are found on many later boxes, and we do not offer it as provenance. We describe the bangles as green hardstone and do not certify the stone.
