Chinese Figure-in-Landscape Painting
A man in white sitting by a stream under a pine, with red maple leaves. Tall, on a woven brocade mount. The one to hang where you go to think.
The figure is tiny and the pine is enormous, which is the point: the picture is about being small in a large, quiet place. The red maple is the only strong color, and it draws the eye straight to the seated man.
This suits a study, a bedroom, or the end of a corridor. It pairs naturally with Pines on the High Pass, hung side by side at the same height.
Mounted on a rigid board with a woven brocade surround and a slim frame. No glass.
